Tallinn Power Plant 105: An Energetic Family Day on March 24

On Saturday, 24th March we will celebrate the 105th anniversary of the old Tallinn Central Power Plant that nowadays houses Energy Discovery Centre. Come and join the celebrations!

The Centre’s inventor Aare Baumer will transform into the Lightning Man especially for the day. He will be wearing a metal suit weighing about 30 kilograms and stepping into the Faraday cage to face three Tesla coils that generate electricity up to 500,000 volts. The shows start at 12:00 and 14:00 in the Lightning Hall.

At 11.30 we’ll be serving freshly baked kringel to all our visitors.

Regular entrance tickets apply, but the shows and Planetarium screenings are at no additional cost during the entire day. Please check the Ticket Desk for screening times and ask for screenings in English as they will be made available upon request.

The Centre is open from 11:00 till 19:00.
