Lightning Hall
The main hall of the Energy Discovery Centre was used as the generator room of the power plant throughout the building’s history. During renovations, it was converted into an elegant and spacious hall in the style of the 1930s, where visitors can see old turbines and generators in addition to the exhibits of the history of electricity. A lightning demonstration is performed in the hall every day, which is why we also call it the Lightning Hall. The Lightning Hall is a great place for receptions, concerts, and gala dinners. The Science Theatre, which is connected to the Lightning Hall, can be used as the stage, and the teachers’ lounge (13 m2 | 140 ft2) can be used as an ancillary room. The room has darkening blinds and can be dimmed during the day.

Science Theatre
The Science Theatre is the former power plant’s switchboard room, which has a high ceiling and offers a view of the Lightning Hall. The Science Theatre is suitable for presentations, receptions and other functions, or for musicians performing to the guests in the Lightning Hall. The Science Theatre can also be separated from the Lightning Hall with glass walls and curtains.

Seminar Room
The light room with its solid wood furniture is suitable for seminars, press conferences, meetings, team building and other events. The Seminar Room is located on the top floor of the centre and offers views of the harbour and the Old Town. Guests may also use the renovated, but original 1930s lift.

The Science Classroom is an excellent room for practical meetings such as training events, group work or meetings. The spacious room can be divided in two with light partition walls. Power outlets are available for each table.

The arena includes:

Power Plant Director’s Office
Located in the premises of Tallinn’s first power plant (1913–1979), the Power Plant Director’s Office is a historic meeting room with a unique atmosphere. It is ideal for small team meetings, workshops, client meetings, a quiet workday outside the office, or creative brainstorming sessions for up to 9 people.
The room includes:
- Meeting table and seating for up to 9 people, plus a sofa
- Wi-Fi, LED screen, and digital meeting system
- Coffee machine, kettle, and drinking water
- Option to order catering or use the kitchenette
- Air conditioning

Long-Term Rental of Energy Discovery Centre Facilities
The Energy Discovery Centre offers the possibility to rent its facilities for longer periods. This option is well suited for hobby groups, workshops, masterclasses, training courses, and other regular activities.
The centre features rooms of various sizes and purposes that can be adapted to different needs – whether for science workshops, educational programmes, or creative activities. Long-term rentals may qualify for more favourable rates and a flexible schedule by separate agreement.
