What are sounds and why do we hear them? Energy Discovery Centre’s new Planetarium offers answers to these questions. It also explains how sound waves travel, how the human ear is built, and the limits of our ability to hear.

The film was created as a supplement to the natural science and physics lessons of the Estonian basic school level III, but it’s also useful for older viewers to go over what they’ve learned about sounds before.

The film was created by the Energy Discovery Centre team: Aare Baumer, Kertu Saks, and Aleksei Mutovkin. The Estonian narrator is musician and actor Kristel Aaslaid, the Russian narrator is Svetlana Mar, and the film has English and Finnish subtitles.

The production of the film was supported by the Estonian Research Council.
