EnerHUB helped build the best student company and is opening pre-registration for the new season to all school students and mentors

Starting today, the nationwide technology and entrepreneurship incubator EnerHUB is opening registration for student teams and mentors for its autumn season. One of the program’s success stories, student company Kiryak, recently won Estonia’s Student Company Competition.

Up to 50 teams will be admitted to the program beginning this autumn.

“For young people today, it is important to have places where they can truly experiment, make mistakes, and develop their ideas in a safe environment without focusing solely on grades. EnerHUB’s goal is to give young people the opportunity to test bold ideas and receive support and guidance from specialists in their field,” says EnerHUB Director Maarika Truu.

The success of EnerHUB’s first season was confirmed by this year’s Estonia’s Best Student Company competition, where the winning student company, Kiryak, developed its stain-resistant and moisture-proof writing instrument within the incubator. In total, six teams that participated in the EnerHUB program reached the finals among the country’s top 30 student companies. According to Maarika Truu, these results are a clear sign of both the program’s effectiveness and young people’s need for practical and supportive learning environments.

EnerHUB is aimed at all upper secondary school and vocational school students who want to explore the world of engineering and technology through deep-tech and science-based entrepreneurial or research ideas. With the support of engineers working at the Energy Discovery Centre’s engineering incubator, young people can develop their ideas into engineering-focused student companies and/or research projects.

In addition, the incubator supports idea development and prototype creation by offering mentorship, physical workspace, and events that help participants build connections within the entrepreneurship and engineering sectors.

According to Maarika Truu, interest in the new season is already strong, and the program is actively welcoming both new student teams and collaboration partners.

“This autumn, we will launch a new season and welcome 50 student teams from across Estonia. We are already inviting teams to register their interest, and mentors as well as engineering-sector companies that want to support young people in bringing their ideas to life are also very welcome,” explains Truu.

Registration for the new season is already open, and student teams and mentors can express their interest at: EnerHUB registration page.
